This series of paintings emerged as a response to the natural and worked forms of flint nodules and comparable forms seen in clouds, astroids etc.,. The response widens to geology and transient formations giving expression to Time.

Knapped flint edges mirror landscape and mountain profiles...possibly manufactured from nodules deposited on shorelines as kelp holdfasts. More specifically there is an engagement with early human settlement on the Isle of Arran, and to recent archaeological excavations at Drumadoon and the surrounding area between artists and archaeologists.
